I wonder what’s needed to swap the ZL1 specific 6L90 automatic, into the SS, which has a 6L80. These supposedly have torque converter and some other issues, but I think once they’re upgraded a fair amount, they’re fine to make a bit more power and torque. I know the trucks and vans that have the same automatic GM transmissions, usually don’t operate nearly as well as the sports/performance cars. Aside from that, I know I the rear end/cradle from the ZL1 has to be completely swapped over, if you want to swap over the ZL1 specific rear axle differential. It’s sad that they only offer them in 2 factory final drive ratios (one for auto and one for manual).
